Friends

With the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it is
all too easy to rush through the season without
even seeing some of your dearest friends and
neighbors.  Before Thanksgiving, we decide on
dates for at least one evening party and an

afternoon open house.   The invitations are
addressed and ready to mail well in advance
to give guests plenty of notice.  The important
people in our everyday lives are all too special to
neglect during this most wonderful time of year.

Party idea:

Ask each person to bring one of their baby
pictures with them in a plain, sealed envelop.
As the guests arrive, drop the envelopes into
a decorated box.  After everyone has arrived,
display the pictures and have your guests try
to identify them.  Award the person who
can match the most babies/adults
with an ornament or food gift.

Ask each guest to bring an unwrapped
child's toy with them.  Deposit each gift
in a large, open, decorated gift box.
After the party, take the box of toys
to The Salvation Army or your local
battered women and children's center.
